Patrick Murphy explores the new St. Louis Citygarden. Dedicated in summer 2009 during an opening ceremony with Mayor Francis Slay, Citygarden is a sculpture park between 8th and 10th Streets along Market Street. Located in the heart of downtown on the site of what had been two long-deserted blocks, the park includes various art installations, water features, and green spaces.

We saw and enjoyed Citygarden yesterday, but were disappointed that many of the plants looked neglected and not very attractive. Still, it is definitely an asset to downtown St. Louis. We live in Bellefontaine Neighbors, zip code 63137.
