Jim Kirchherr is there for the installation of the Animals Always sculpture at the St. Louis Zoo. This gigantic steel sculpture is the largest at any zoo in the world—measuring 130 ft. long and 36 ft. high. Thelma Zalk donated the million dollar masterpiece created exclusively for the zoo by artist Albert Paley. The sculpture was cut from 1,300 steel plates and shows 60 different animals in their natural environment.
